Calavera Series

This is a project I've been working on at school. It's been a total blast and I thought I would share.
Calavera means skull in spanish. In Mexico on the Day of the Dead people dress up in Calavera masks and even make Calaveras out of candy and leave them on loved ones graves.

Loved the weather during this shoot! To celebrate spring and the warm turn in the weather, we tried to find some spring colors. Those colors were a little harder to find then I initially thought, but we indeed find some. We all had to really work to get this guy to crack a smile, but it was worth it when he did. Even when we didn't get a smile, his eyes could make you give him anything he wanted.

Jack/ Cedar City, UT/Newborn Photography

You would think this baby was already a month old the way he looks and how he acted during the shoot but you would be wrong. He was a week old on the day of our shoot. He weighed over 9 lbs when he was born. I love big babies, they have a special place in my heart because my oldest was over 9 lbs as well. Jack was so mellow and wide eyed almost the entire time, Adorable.
